A&S Packing has expanded its services into general warehousing and distribution.

During spring 2021, A&S Packing commissioned a new re-pack and storage facility in Barnsley, South Yorkshire to further expand the company’s capacity and diversify the business into general warehousing with around 7,000 pallet spaces and additional capabilities for container loading.

The acquisition of the additional premises along with a 3PL partnership expands the services that A&S, who are shrink sleeving and repacking specialists, are now supplying to their customers.

The move was targeted to ease the supply chain constraints for their major contracts and enabling the business to supply a closed loop solution by streamlining their logistical operations.

The end of 2021 saw major challenges in the transport sector which disrupted the supply of components and the ability to deliver volume into the major retailers for the Christmas period and A&S said it services its clients up to 97% of orders on time.

The business has seen significant demand for its end-to-end service model since the introduction in 2021 and targets to increase warehousing space across all its site over the course of 2022 and is welcoming new opportunities across the FMCG sectors.
